Speaker Biographies and Program Descriptions

Tiger was introduced to the Boundary Waters at the tender age of 13 when his parents unceremoniously dropped him off at Camp Widjiwagan. Little did they know it would ignite a life-long passion for adventure that spans hiking, canoe camping, mountain climbing and skydiving!
Tiger is a cancer survivor who began mountaineering at age 50. He has summited Mt. Adams, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Whitney, Eldorado, & Mt. Rainier raising funds for research into a cancer and MS vaccine.

Canoe camping can be daunting. Tiger knows: He's guided first-timers, grandparents, parents with children, and paddled solo across our favorite wilderness for years.
In this fast-paced presentation, he'll list 10 lessons learned "the hard way" while paddling hundreds of miles and portaging thousands of rods in the BWCA and Quetico.
Using these packing, equipment, camping & fishing tricks, you'll enjoy a safer, more worry-free experience in the BWCA.
