Speaker Biographies and Program Descriptions

Dan Hobbs started climbing mountains later in life, but once he started, he never looked back.
A family man living in Minnesota, he finds creative ways to train to race the highest peaks in North America. His Midwest work ethic has paid off in accumulating over 250 successful summits.

Keep up with Minnesotan Dan Hobbs after he set the Self Supported Colorado 14er Record in 2022! Climbing 58 - 14,000 foot tall peaks - in 14 days.
Join in for a tale as tall as the summits with wild weather, perilous peaks, car crashes, and pushing the human body to extremes. Find out what it took for a Midwesterner to set a major mountain record while raising a family through the pandemic.
At the end Dan will cover some basics of ultralight fastpacking in the mountains.
