Speaker Biographies and Program Descriptions

Photographer Craig Blacklock has devoted his life’s work to depicting the interface between land and water; specifically Lake Superior – constantly exploring new ways to express our relationship with the natural world.
Craig circumnavigated Superior in 1991, and kayaked hundreds of miles during the last two years photographing Light Waves.

Lake Superior photographer, Craig Blacklock will present a program featuring portions of his video on Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and on his just-released book, 'LIGHT WAVES — Abstract Photographs of Reflections from Lake Superior' (you will be the first to see it!).
Here is a comment left on Facebook: “Mesmerized. Your work stops me in my tracks. It pulls me in, slows me down and that’s all there is. My mind is free!” — JoElle Keiski Ramsey
Craig will have this and other books for sale at the event. You can preview 'LIGHT WAVES — Abstract Photographs of Reflections from Lake Superior' at craigblacklock.art.
