Mississippi River at the Ford Dam

The metro Mississippi River has been transformed for commerce and industry.  Now some of that old infrastructure is no longer useful, presenting an opportunity to reimagine our relationship to the river.

There’s one momentous decision we can make in the next few years:  Should we remove dams on the Twin Cities’ Mississippi?

An Army Corps study about the future of the Lower St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam and Lock and Dam 1 is just beginning.

Learn more about dam removal and the other future options under consideration and how to add your voice to the process right now.
